Drone delivery service launched on the Great Wall of China

The first express delivery line using drones has been launched on the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China in Beijing. This was reported by China Daily with reference to the administration of the Badaling tourist zone.

Thus, tourists will be able to receive summer humanitarian aid and basic necessities within a few minutes.

The South Ninth Watchtower on the Badaling Extension of the Great Wall of China serves as the starting point for the new route. The area, which opened to the public at the end of 2023, is popular for outdoor walks, exploring the Great Wall of China and photography.

The area is characterized by excellent landscaping and untouched architectural appearance. Only there are no retail outlets here.

To solve this problem, the administration of the Badaling tourist zone has entered into a partnership with one of the express delivery platforms. Tourists can scan a QR code using their mobile phone to place an order on the food delivery platform. The products will be delivered by drones within five minutes. Previously, one trip to the site usually took 50 minutes on foot.

On the way back, the drone can help with garbage collection, which significantly reduces the labor costs of Great Wall maintenance personnel.

The Great Wall of China has a total length of more than 20 thousand km and consists of many interconnected fragments covering 15 provincial-level regions, including Beijing, Hebei Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the north, and Gansu Province and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the northwest. countries.
