Oriented on making people closer

At a government meeting on July 19, Deputy Prime Minister Myahrijemal Mammedova reported on preparations for the international film festival “Gorkut ata”, which Turkmenistan is hosting this year.

The event includes a forum of filmmakers from Turkic countries, the participation of the Secretary General of TURKSOY, film screenings in Ashgabat cinemas and master classes from famous actors and directors. Excursions to historical and cultural places, to the city of Arkadag, etc. are provided for delegates.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of events related to the declaration of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024. The head of state approved the proposal to hold the festival on November 4-5 and instructed to ensure its successful organization, this was reported in the news release of the Turkmen State Television and Radio.
