In a bid to fortify its commitment to Turkmenistan's energy landscape while nurturing local talent, PETRONAS Carigali (TURKMENISTAN) Sdn Bhd (PC(T)SB) orchestrated its inaugural Job Fair in 2024. Held at the prestigious Beyik Yupek Yoly Hotel in Turkmenbashy City Port, the event garnered significant attention, drawing around 1000 enthusiastic participants from across the nation.

The event was officiated by PC(T)SB's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ismadi Bin Ismail, alongside the management team, who warmly welcomed the aspiring talents. Throughout the day, PC(T)SB experts delivered insightful speeches on various facets of the oil and gas industry, including the recruitment process, PETRONAS' ambitious pathway towards achieving Net Zero Carbon Emissions by 2050, the paramount importance of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices, the significance of fostering Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace and career talks sharing by PC(TSB technician and engineers.

Notably, the local Department of Labour and Social Protection of Population graced the occasion, highlighting the government's keen interest in promoting employment opportunities and supporting initiatives that empower the workforce.

The Job Fair provided a unique platform for attendees to gain firsthand insights into the potential job openings at PC(T)SB. Moreover, participants had the opportunity to undergo trial English language proficiency tests and engage in preliminary technical assessment interviews, equipping them with invaluable skills essential for career advancement in the oil and gas sector.

Beyond mere recruitment endeavors, PC(T)SB's commitment to Turkmenistan's socio-economic development was evident. The company has invested significantly in nurturing local talent, exemplified by initiatives like the pre-employment technician training program at INSTEP, which has successfully trained 235 national technicians across various trades. Additionally, PC(T)SB has sponsored 162 local talents through the University Technology PETRONAS, with a notable proportion now serving within the company.

PC(T)SB's endeavors underscore its dedication to becoming both the Partner of Choice and the Employer of Choice in Turkmenistan. By enriching lives and fostering sustainable growth, the company endeavors to weave itself into the fabric of local communities, fostering enduring partnerships for a brighter future.
