By 2030, Apple aims to become one of the greenest technology companies in the world.

To achieve this goal, the company will use advanced developments in the field of artificial intelligence.

According to Apple CEO Tim Cook, artificial intelligence opens up enormous opportunities for companies seeking to significantly reduce their carbon footprint, down to zero.

AI allows you to calculate each person’s individual carbon footprint, as well as select materials and methods of processing them.

“To create better products, we need partners who share a commitment to innovation and protecting the planet,” Tim Cook said, highlighting suppliers such as BYD, Lens Technology and Shenzhen Everwin Precision Technology.

One of Apple’s achievements along this path was the release of the “carbon-neutral” Apple Watch.

Over the years, the company has also used special robots to disassemble and recycle used iPhones. According to the company, one such robot can disassemble 1.2 million devices a year.

“We would not be able to process such a significant amount of materials without the use of AI,” the head of the tech giant emphasized, speaking at the China Development Forum in Beijing.
