The President of Turkmenistan accepted the credentials of the Iranian Ambassador
13.11.2023 | 23:11 |On Monday, November 13, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan Ali Mojtab Ruzbehani, who presented credentials to the head of state.
The diplomat, having conveyed greetings from the President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, stressed that Iran attaches great importance to the traditionally good-neighborly dialogue with Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, which was held in a businesslike, constructive manner, Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Iranian ambassador discussed priority issues of bilateral relations. It was noted that Iran remains one of Turkmenistan’s significant partners in the region, and the parties are ready to increase cooperation on the principles of equality and mutual benefit in the trade and economic field.
In this context, the focus on the development of cooperation in the fuel and energy, transport and communication sectors, as well as in the construction and agricultural sectors was emphasized.
Cultural and humanitarian cooperation was not left without attention, in connection with which the importance of such joint events as Days of Culture, exhibitions, etc. was noted.
Ambassador Ali Mojtab Ruzbehani assured the President of Turkmenistan that, for his part, he would make every effort to deepen friendly ties between the two countries and peoples and bring them to a qualitatively new level.
