 Korean pharmaceutical company wins tender for supply of anti-cancer drugs to Turkmenistan

The South Korean pharmaceutical company Celltrion Healthcare won a tender for a contract with UNDP to supply anti-cancer drugs to Turkmenistan. These drugs include Truxima (for the treatment of blood cancer) and Vegzelma (for the treatment of metastatic colorectal and breast cancer), which will be delivered before the end of this year, Financial News reports.

A representative from Celltrion Healthcare explained to the publication: “By winning the UNDP bid, we have fulfilled our role as a biopharmaceutical company that helps improve the quality of life of patients by contributing to improved medical well-being.”

He added that Celltrion Healthcare's biopharmaceuticals are recognized by doctors and patients around the world for their therapeutic efficacy and safety.

Both drugs have stable prescription rates worldwide and hold significant market shares in the anti-cancer drug market in Europe and America.
