A master class on cooking friable pilaf at the food festival was organized by professional chefs. The participants were able to enjoy a delicious and fragrant dish of Turkmen cuisine and see the whole process of preparing a traditional treat. The festival audience rated the creation of the chefs with the highest score, as evidenced by a long line of people who wanted to try pilaf, which lined up near the cauldron, the Turkmen Consulate General said in a statement.
The festival program also included entertainment events - a race of waiters, a tartare cooking competition, culinary and children's master classes, lectures from bloggers, cover band performances and a prize draw.
This year, about 55,000 people visited the Tasty Kazan gastronomic festival. For the first time, the events unfolded at two locations at once - near the Kazan Family Center and in the Government Offices of the Kazan Kremlin.
