Chinese electric hypercar Yangwang U9 demonstrates ability to jump over obstacles
29.01.2025 | 15:15 |The Chinese automaker BYD has unveiled the Yangwang U9 electric hypercar, which, thanks to its active suspension, has the unique ability to jump over small obstacles, in particular, potholes on the road.
In a promotional video, the Yangwang U9 can be seen, like a cheetah, jumping over an almost 2.5-meter pothole at a speed of 120 km/h. However, there are still more questions than answers.
The characteristics of the Yangwang U9 are impressive: engine power of 1287 hp, which allows it to accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.36 seconds. In November, it already demonstrated its qualities, setting a lap record at the Nürburgring in Germany. But that's not all - its larger "brother" can swim, staying afloat for an hour.
Those wishing to acquire this marvel of automotive engineering should be prepared to pay $236,000 for it.
