One of the most modern IT clusters in the Central Asian region will open in Uzbekistan
08.07.2023 | 18:23 |A modern IT cluster will open in the Bukhara region and will train specialists in the areas of information and communication technologies and the export of IT services. The core of the educational center will be the Acharya University for IT specialists, established in 2022 by the Indian Acharya Institutes together with the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.
The relevant resolution "On the establishment of an IT cluster in the Karakul district of Bukhara region" was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, reports UzDaily.uz.
It is planned to open a university with modern infrastructure and research laboratories in the cluster, as well as a center for exporting remote IT services for 200 places, classrooms and an incubation center for 100 places for the development of startup projects.
Until December 31, 2023, the project provides for the construction of an administrative building, a training laboratory and academic buildings for 5,600 places. And by September 1, 2024, it is planned to open a student dormitory for 1,300 people, a hotel for 15 people, a dining room, open and closed sports facilities.
