A virtual social card has appeared in Russia

The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russia has launched a pilot project of "Public Services", which provides for the use of an electronic social card on a smartphone as an alternative to a plastic one.

So, it can be used for preferential travel in public transport. It is enough just to attach the smartphone to the payment terminal.

The Nizhny Novgorod region was chosen as the first region where the pilot project will unfold. But all regions interested in it can join the experiment.

Orphans and children aged 14-18 years left without parental care can use the virtual social card in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

To apply for a card, you need to link the Mir card to your smartphone, enter the card data in your personal account on Public Services and select the benefits from the list.
