Turkmen companies to introduce digital systems in logistics with Baltic colleagues
22.06.2023 | 13:52 |The Turkmen Logistics Association has signed memoranda of understanding with the Latvian National Association of Freight Forwarders and Logistics and the Lithuanian National Association of Exporters and Logisticians, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports.
The signing of documents aimed at the development of the TRACESA transport corridor took place as part of a working trip of representatives of the Turkmen Association to Latvia and Lithuania, where meetings were held with colleagues from the Central Asian republics.
The introductory meeting was held with the support of USAID and the Union of Transport Workers of Kazakhstan Kazlogistics. In addition, during the meeting, an agreement was reached on the development and implementation of projects for the introduction of digital systems in the field of logistics. There was also a proposal to regularly organize joint discussions with experts from different countries.
Officials of transport and logistics companies expressed hope that the actions taken in the field of development of the HIGHWAY will have a positive impact on the interconnectedness between Asia, the Caucasus and Europe.
