The State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is ready to provide on the territory of the country the opportunity to present a driver's license and a vehicle registration certificate (VRC) in the form of a digital code. At the same time, there is no need to confirm them with originals.

This is reported by TASS with reference to the deputy head of the Main Directorate for Road Safety (MDRS) The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Oleg Ponariin.

According to him, the idea has already been tested in Moscow, Moscow region and Tatarstan.

"We, as the State Traffic Inspectorate, are ready for such an introduction, the question is up to the legislators. As soon as the relevant infrastructure in general in the Russian Federation is ready, we will be happy to use it," Ponariin said.
