Turkish Riviera: sea, sand, sun and lots of exciting entertainment

The Mediterranean coast of Turkey, known as the Turkish Riviera, attracts millions of local and foreign tourists every year who come here to see a unique fusion of nature, history and culture.

This area is known all over the world not only for its amazing beaches, gentle sun and turquoise sea. The Turkish Riviera offers a lot of interesting entertainment that will satisfy a variety of travel expectations. Here tourists will see the beautiful natural beauty of the turquoise sea, get acquainted with historical old towns, original culinary traditions and make many excursions — from hiking to diving.

The first resort that we immediately remember when talking about the Mediterranean coast is Antalya, located in the center of the Turkish Riviera. The city is known for its 229 Blue Flag beaches and legendary historical landmarks. It is also a sports paradise.

Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy exploring the picturesque caves of Karain, Dim and Damlatash. Some of the most spectacular hiking trails in the world run within Antalya Province, including the Lycian Trail, the Pisidia Heritage Trail and the St. Paul's Way. The Kash area in Antalya is considered one of the 10 unique places for diving in the world. Paragliding and some water sports are among the most popular activities in the area. Belek attracts attention with its world-class golf courses.

One step will take you to the Lake District and pink and lavender gardens.

A small part of the Lake District of Turkey, attracting the attention of many natural wonders of the Mediterranean basin, is also located near Antalya. The region, which covers the territory within the borders of Afyonkarahisar, Antalya, Burdur, Isparta and Konya provinces, and where there are 16 lakes, including Akshehir, Burdur, Beishehir, Airdir, Kovada and Salda, was named by Travel + Leisure as one of the "50 best places to travel in 2023" and as an area of rich cultural heritage. Tourists can visit this area while traveling to Antalya and enjoy the tectonic lakes and historical Roman monuments.

The main region where roses and lavender grow in Turkey, Isparta, is located in the Lake District. Isparta offers various opportunities to explore the natural beauty of the Mediterranean. Admire the stunning image of lavender in purple on the other side of the Taurus Mountains.

Mediterranean cuisine attracts attention as one of the richest and most diverse gastronomic traditions in Turkey, and gourmets will find many intriguing pearls here.

Fish and seafood occupy a prominent place in Mediterranean cuisine, along with vegetable dishes prepared with organic olive oil, and unique dishes of meat and spices. Traditional restaurants offer fresh fish and meat dishes, such as tantuni kebab, famous appetizers - salted mackerel and piyaz, and desserts — burnt ice cream and kunef.
