Turkmenistan ranks 3rd in Iran's trade with the Caspian countries
01.05.2023 | 01:52 |Iran's trade (excluding exports of crude oil) with the Caspian Sea coastal states in the past fiscal year (ended on March 20 - ed.) amounted to 6.89 million tons worth $3.81 billion, which means a decrease of 12.78% in terms of physical volume, but an increase of 9.51% in value compared to the same period of the last year, such data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration cites the Financial Tribune.
According to the source, Turkmenistan is in third place with 1.31 million tons (a decrease of 6.45%) in the amount of $487.62 million (an increase of 32.34% - and this is the highest increase among neighboring countries).
Russia was Iran's main trading partner among the Caspian states with 4.04 million tons (down 17.79%) worth $2.32 billion (up 3.44%) over the period under review.
It is followed by Azerbaijan with 784,380 tons (down 7.9%) worth $688.03 million (up 13.2%).
Kazakhstan completes the list with 750,955 tons (an increase of 3.05%) in the amount of $320.14 million (an increase of 20.79%).
