Projects in the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea are of interest to GaffneyCline – Mark Robinson

In the Turkmen market, GaffneyCline, a well-known English consulting company, has been working for the last 15 years in close cooperation with the concerns Turkmennebit, Turkmengaz and Turkmengeologiya. The company supports Turkmenistan's business in the upstream. Upstream is a sector of the oil industry, including the search for potential oil deposits, drilling of exploration and production wells, and the process of hydrocarbon production both on land and at sea. In addition, it provides for in-field transportation and primary preparation of oil for shipment to refineries.

It should be noted that the upstream sector is associated with the highest degree of risks at various stages of the process, said Mark Robinson, Regional Director for Europe, Africa and the Middle East of GaffneyCline, speaking at the International Investment Forum, which takes place on April 26-27 in the United Arab Emirates in Dubai.

Currently, GaffneyCline is negotiating with Turkmennebit Group of Companies to sign a contract under which the company will assist in drawing up a Roadmap for a new licensing method.

― We are also considering other promising areas of cooperation. We are interested in projects in the Caspian Sea basin. The Caspian Sea is a hydrocarbon-rich region with more than 60 oil fields, 10 of which are located in the Turkmen sector. Of course, there is great potential for partnership in this area, said Mark Robinson.
