Students of the Turkmen-Russian school got acquainted with the issues of climate change
20.04.2023 | 10:55 |The United Nations Development Program in Turkmenistan organized a meeting with students of the Joint Turkmen-Russian Secondary School named after A.S. Pushkin, during which she introduced them to the issues of climate change and environmental protection.
UNDP specialists organized a "climate quiz" for students, and also presented educational kits and manuals "Climate box", the organization's representative office in the country reports.
The main purpose of the event is to strengthen students' understanding of the importance of nature conservation and the importance of ecology in the modern world.
Experts noted that education plays a key role in people's awareness of climate problems, in changing habits and attitudes to nature. The event was timed to coincide with the International Mother Earth Day, which is celebrated on April 22.
