The second Economic Forum "EU — Central Asia" will be held on May 19 in Almaty
14.04.2023 | 12:49 |The second EU—Central Asia Economic Forum will be held on May 19 in Almaty (Kazakhstan), the EU Delegation to Turkmenistan reports.
Within the framework of the forum, a business event is expected on May 18, in which delegates and representatives of the private sector will exchange views on the issue of facilitating business contacts between the two regions. The International Trade Center will act as a partner of the meeting.
The forum will be attended by high-ranking officials of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, the EU, the European Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
The first EU—Central Asia Economic Forum was held in November 2021 in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan). At it, the participating countries expressed interest in developing interregional cooperation and expanding economic ties, including in the "green" direction.
