The technological platform of the "Games of the Future" will become international
24.03.2023 | 19:47 |A technological platform for conducting esports "Games of the Future" is being developed with the prospect of its use at international competitions, TASS reported, referring to the head of the "Games of the Future" project Igor Stolyarov on Friday.
"We plan that the platform will be used further in the international space. We have practically made a very big step towards ensuring that the "Games of the Future" in 2025 will also be in China. <...> the technological platform is being made in such a way that it can be used on all continents," Stolyarov said.
According to him, the technology platform includes both a sports engine for esports players and services for viewers who come to events or follow competitions online. "We have a mobile application, a desktop interface, we have all the technological solutions that are advanced for our market, which are now used to hold tournaments and cover them," the project manager added.
All elements of the technology platform are being tested at the digital Games in Kazan - test competitions on the eve of the first "Games of the Future", which will be held in Kazan in 2024. They will be conducted in new disciplines using modern technologies, digital environment and physical activity. The format of the competition involves the use of the latest developments in the field of esports, robotics, augmented and virtual reality, information technology and artificial intelligence.
Both organizers of sports events, game developers and even students can offer their ideas of new digital disciplines. More than 40 students of Ulyanovsk State University from India, Egypt and Turkmenistan on Friday presented their ideas at the intersection of IT, sports and humanities during a visit to the university by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
Among the interesting proposals featured a digital parkour. In the near future, the ideas will be finalized and scaled to the federal level, or tested in the very near future at test competitions of digital games.
