The Handmade Exports program will be launched in the Lebap region

On March 31, USAID and the EU Delegation to Turkmenistan, with the support of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, will launch the Lebap Handmade Exports project as part of the Handmade Exports startup incubator program.

It is expected that the EU Ambassador to Turkmenistan Diego Ruiz Alonso, USAID representative in Turkmenistan Nino Nadiradze, Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Chinar Rustamova will take part in the launch ceremony at the Lebap Museum of Local Lore.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the needlewomen will familiarize guests with their products, tell about its features and share plans for the future. The event will continue in the format of panel discussions, where participants of the Handmade Exports startup incubator program of previous years will talk about their experience.

The Handmade Exports program was launched in 2021. It is designed to support women entrepreneurs - manufacturers of handmade products in entering global sales markets through the introduction of new business models and the use of electronic platforms.
