Fast Internet in flight - Starlink works on more than 1,000 aircraft

Over 1,000 aircraft around the world are equipped with high-speed Internet access using Starlink global satellite communications.

This was stated by Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, which owns the innovative Starlink project. The businessman emphasized that this number is constantly growing around the world.

SpaceX has partnered with low-cost Canadian airline WestJet and Canadian telecommunications company Telus, which provides wireline and mobile communications services.

“High-speed, low-latency internet is the future of aviation communications, and we are excited to partner with WestJet to bring Starlink technology to their passengers in the coming months,” said Jason Fritsch, vice president of enterprise sales for Starlink at SpaceX.

Starlink provides passengers with high-speed Internet access from the moment they step on board the aircraft.

“Starlink now powers over 1,000 aircraft! "Using Starlink on a plane feels like you're using a high-speed terrestrial fiber connection," Elon Musk himself wrote.
