Oriented on making people closer

The President of Turkmenistan arrived in Doha, the capital of the State of Qatar, on an official visit.

On Sunday, the head of state was seen off at the international airport of Ashgabat by members of the government and the Ambassador of Qatar, accredited in Turkmenistan.

In a conversation with a diplomat, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that in recent years, the dialogue between our two countries has been fruitfully developing in all areas of cooperation, based on the historically established relations of friendship.

Some time later, the presidential Boeing arrived in Doha, where the distinguished guest was met by members of the government delegation and officials of the host country.

The visit of Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the State of Qatar is of great importance in terms of a comprehensive partnership with the countries of the Middle East region, rich in mineral resources and industrially developed. Turkmenistan has developed a rather fruitful dialogue with many of them.

As for the partnership with Qatar, the heads of the two states have made five visits recently alone. Nevertheless, both sides are confident that, despite the results achieved, there is still a huge potential for further expansion of bilateral cooperation at all levels - political, governmental, departmental, and not only in trade and economic, but also in cultural and humanitarian spheres.

It is believed that, given the rapidly developing entrepreneurial movement in Turkmenistan, today the possibilities of bilateral interaction at the level of business structures are far from being fully disclosed.

Turkmenistan and Qatar successfully interact within the framework of international organizations, which is facilitated by constructive and regular contacts between the foreign ministries of the two countries.

The intergovernmental commission, which is scheduled to hold its next meeting in Ashgabat this year, is making its contribution to strengthening the Turkmen-Qatari dialogue.

Many observers believe that President Serdar Berdymukhammedov's visit to one of the key countries in the Middle East, which began on Sunday, will elevate relations between Turkmenistan and the State of Qatar, which celebrate 27 years of diplomatic relations this year, to a new level.

On Monday, the working part of the official visit begins, during which the signing of important documents is expected, as well as, as ORIENT previously reported, the opening of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Doha.
