16.03.2023 | 17:24 |United Nations experts in Turkmenistan conducted a practical training for Dashoguz gardeners of the Turkmenbashi district, the UNDP representative office in the country reports on its Instagram.
The purpose of the event was to familiarize with sustainable practices and innovative approach in the field of horticulture, in particular, in the spring pruning of fruit trees and their protection from pests and diseases in the local climate.
"This practical training gave us the opportunity to get answers to many questions related to gardening on our plots. I think that all participants will actively disseminate their knowledge among other horticultural farmers, as the demonstrated technologies and methods are very affordable and cost-effective. I would like such practical classes to be held regularly among local residents," said Ogulnabat Bozova, the owner of the garden where the practical part of the training took place.
The training on the exchange of experience, theoretical knowledge and practical skills was held within the framework of the project "Conservation and sustainable management of land resources and ecosystems of high natural value in the Aral Sea basin for multiple benefits".
