Oriented on making people closer

Chairman of the upper chamber of the Turkmen Parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with President of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov on Thursday, the official website of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan reports.

The head of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan stressed the strategic nature of the Turkmen-Russian cooperation and the country's special relations with the Republic of Tatarstan. It was also noted that there is an impressive potential for increasing cooperation.

At the meeting, the head of Tatarstan noted that the region has big plans for expanding cooperation with Turkmenistan, and these issues will be discussed today during the Turkmen-Russian Business Forum in Ashgabat.

In addition to the business partnership, the interlocutors also discussed cooperation in the field of sports. Rustam Minnikhanov noted the good results of Turkmen hockey players at the recent international hockey tournament between Islamic countries held in Tatarstan.
