The national stage of the debate tournament for the "Cup of Nonviolence" was held in Ashgabat
16.01.2023 | 15:04 |The capital of Turkmenistan hosted the qualifying stage of the regional debate tournament for the "Non-Violence Cup", which takes place as part of the annual global campaign "16 days of activism against gender-based violence".
The national stage of the tournament was attended by young teachers and students of higher educational institutions, as well as secondary school students. They discussed issues of gender-based violence, measures and opportunities to eliminate this problem.
8 participants, who were selected as a result of the debate, had the opportunity to participate in the regional stage of the tournament, which will be held in an online format between representatives of five Central Asian countries.
Teachers of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D.Azadi Maksat Bugraev, Agagul Amirkulova, Fatima Matanova, Aygul Berdikylyjova, students of this university Nuryagdy Mollaberdyev and Dovlet Ahmedov, as well as a student of the International University for the Humanities and Development Shabibi Beshimova and a student of the capital's school № 6 Mahym Yagdyeva were recognized as the best at the debate.
They were selected based on the Tallinn Speaker's Score Scale, which is used at world debate tournaments.
