Football teams of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea held pre-match training
10.09.2019 | 16:08 |In the evening of September 9, the Ashgabat Kopetdag Stadium became the venue for pre-match test training for the football teams of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea, which the next day at the qualifying round meeting for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, should find out who will be stronger on the green field.
The guests from Southeast Asia were the first to enter the football pitch, who had an “open” training for 15 minutes, which included a warm-up, running exercises without and with a ball.
After a quarter of an hour, all those present at the stadium, including representatives of the media, were asked to leave, which is the generally accepted norm when conducting such trainings.

After Korean football players completed the pre-match training, the national team of Turkmenistan entered the field of the Kopetdag Sports Complex of the capital, who began the “open” part of their training with practicing ball control exercises, for accuracy of pass, kicks and dribbling.
Summarizing what has been seen, it should be noted that both teams are very serious about winning and, on September 10, we will enjoy an uncompromising fight and, possibly, a productive game on the football field.
In the meantime, the national team of Turkmenistan, who plays for Group H, has three points and second place after one match, while the national team located on the Korean Peninsula north of the 38th parallel is at the first place with the same points.
There is a proud Akhal-Teke at the Emblem of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, and an image of a tiger – at the Emblem of the Korean squad.
Who will win? What, in the end, will be stronger – the speed of a horse or the agility and cunning of a striped predator?

We will learn all this very soon.
So, the venue is the Ashgabat Kopetdag Stadium, which seats more than 26 thousand spectators, on September 10, at 19:00.
Qualifying match of the second round of the upcoming 2022 World Cup in Qatar in Group H. The national team of Turkmenistan led by Croatian coach Ante Miše, against a team from the Republic of Korea managed by Portuguese Paulo Bento.
