Turkmenbashi port is able to increase cargo traffic along the Lapis Lazuli corridor
21.11.2022 | 06:05 |Chairman of the upper house of the Turkmen Parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the potential of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport can be used to increase transport links and cargo traffic, which will increase the efficiency of the Baku—Tbilisi—Kars railway line.
This is reported by TDH following the talks of the head of the upper house with the chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Shentop.
Speaking about cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on the possibilities and potential of the international Lapis Lazulicorridor connecting Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey.
In this context, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed to organize a meeting of the heads of transport departments of the participating countries of this route, where new opportunities are opening up now, in the post-pandemic period.
