This, the 6th meeting, provided an opportunity to exchange information on the events and economic situation in Afghanistan since the last meeting in February 2024, as well as discuss further cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The parties expressed their firm commitment to turning Afghanistan into a stable, peaceful, and prosperous country and acknowledged the efforts of the international community to assist the Afghan people.
The meeting discussed the prospects for economic stabilization in Afghanistan, highlighting the importance of creating favorable conditions for economic activity, the financial and banking sectors, and the restoration of socio-economic infrastructure in Afghanistan.
Ahmet Gurbanov provided detailed information to the participants on the practical actions taken by Turkmenistan to restore Afghanistan's economy.
The participants of the meeting emphasized the need to continue dialogue and cooperation within the framework of the "Central Asia – European Union" format and expressed a shared opinion that to stabilize the political, economic, and humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, broad consolidation of the international community—world nations, particularly from the Central Asia region, as well as authoritative international organizations—is necessary, according to the statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The parties expressed their interest in close cooperation on implementing joint projects related to Afghanistan's reconstruction and the country's integration into the global network.
