According to the World Economic Forum, 29.2 million tourists visited the country in 2024, which is a 15.5% increase compared to the previous year. By 2033, it is expected that the number of tourists will rise to 45.5 million. The UAE ranks 18th in the global Tourism and Travel Development Index, maintaining its leadership in the region.
The UAE's tourism development strategy aims to attract 100 billion dirhams in investments and increase the flow of tourists to 40 million by 2031. The winter season has become a peak period for the tourism industry, and the country's authorities have launched the fifth campaign, "The Coolest Winter in the World," offering a variety of winter activities, including desert safaris, mountain adventures, and camping. Tourists can enjoy the UAE's unique natural landscapes, including mountains, deserts, and coastlines, as well as active leisure activities such as paragliding and zip-lining. The development of infrastructure and the diversity of offerings make the UAE an attractive destination for winter tourism.
