Oriented on making people closer

Alabai is the pride of Turkmens, a faithful companion of the people for thousands of years of rich history. A large Central Asian Shepherd dog has repeatedly become the object of universal attention of eminent dog breeders around the world who dreamed of replenishing their "collection" with representatives of this breed. However, Turkmen alabai are listed as a national treasure and their export is strictly controlled. It is understandable: the extraordinary exterior and incredible characteristics "trampled" a separate branch of the concept of beauty for Alabai.

It was this "beautiful" that decorated the exhibition dedicated to this breed, which was held in the Exhibition Hall of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan. On this occasion, one of the organizers of the event, artist-painter and photographer Ahmet Hallyev, gave a comment especially for ORIENT:

— The Turkmen Alabai is a very ancient breed of dog. In my opinion, one of the oldest. Being an intelligent and faithful animal, alabai was a friend throughout the historical path of the Turkmen people: an assistant to shepherds, a guard of the herd and the hearth. There were quite a few works at today's exhibition. There were paintings and photographic works. Of these, there are more than 120 photographs, and about 30 paintings. I am very pleased that the state pays great attention to the protection and development of this majestic and truly unique breed!

The exhibition attracted the attention of many lovers of the creations of famous Turkmen photographers and artists, collecting the best collections with the image of this majestic animal under the arches of the hall.
