Oriented on making people closer

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed Deputy Prime Minister Annageldy Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, to create a permanent water resources management center in the administrative center of the Kerki district of the Lebap region, the official Turkmen press writes today.

Kerki is located on the western bank of the Amu Darya River, which is a key source of water for agriculture in Turkmenistan. The creation of a water resources management center in this city should ensure full-fledged water supply to farmland and promote the rational use of water.

The Turkmen leader instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to hold field meetings of the center, taking into account the volume of water reserves. The decisions taken at these meetings should contribute to the proper provision of agricultural lands with water resources in all regions of the country.

The head of state also focused on the importance of maintaining water infrastructure in proper condition and ordered the government, together with specialized services, to prepare proposals for improving the activities of the agro-industrial complex in this direction.
