Oriented on making people closer

Chairman of the upper house of the Turkmen Parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov spoke at the XIII International Economic Summit KazanSummit 2022, paying great attention to the relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation.

– Tatarstan traditionally initiates and conducts many projects, proposals aimed at developing interstate cooperation in the economic, trade, investment, humanitarian spheres, – Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan said, the website of the President of Tatarstan reports.

– Such a mission is especially in demand today. It is designed to preserve and strengthen the foundation on which the culture of the Russian-Islamic civilized world was created and enriched from time immemorial, the worldview and spiritual closeness of Russia and Muslim countries were formed," Berdimuhamedov stressed.

The Chairman of the People's Council noted that relations between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan have recently reached a new level. Such large Tatarstan companies as KAMAZ, Tatneft, KER-holding, Kazan Helicopter Plant have proven themselves well in Turkmenistan.

Ashgabat intends to further develop mutually beneficial relations with Tatarstan and private companies of this republic, Berdimuhamedov said.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Kazan at the invitation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on Thursday to participate in festive events dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by Volgan Bulgaria and the plenary session of KazanSummit 2022.
