Oriented on making people closer

President Berdimuhamedov, speaking at an extended meeting of the country's Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, called the development of the oil and gas industry and innovations in the processing of hydrocarbons the main directions of Turkmenistan's economic growth.

It is necessary to continue modernizing the fuel and energy complex, attract investments and implement new oil and gas production projects, the Turkmen leader said, addressing Deputy Prime Minister Shahym Abdrakhmanov and the leaders of the oil and gas complex.

Equally important are the digitalization of the oil and gas sector, the commissioning of new gas processing plants, an increase in the export of liquefied gas and the continuation of the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline.
