The Open World Astronomy Olympiad (OWAO-2024) will be held on the Sirius federal territory of the Russian Federation from September 15 to 22. This was announced by the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan.

Schoolchildren under 18 from different countries can participate in the Olympiad. Each country is represented by one team of 4-6 participants, accompanied by up to two leaders and two observers.

The Olympiad includes four rounds: theoretical, practical, observational and blitz.

The tasks will be in English, with the provision of glossaries and dictionaries of terms for translation and problem solving.

A cultural program with lectures, master classes and excursions is provided for guests of Sirius.

The host party provides accommodation and meals for the participants, and the observers' expenses are covered by the organizational fee.

To participate in OWAO-2024, you must register on the website of the Olympiad before August 10.

OWAO is a young Olympiad that unites the best astronomical traditions and experts from all over the world. The organizers are the federal territory "Sirius" and the Foundation "Talent and Success" with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
