Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, October 16, 2024 – In a significant boost to Turkmenistan's agricultural sector, the country's largest almond producer, Hemsaýa, obtained the prestigious GLOBALG.A.P. certification in September 2024. This achievement, supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), marks a major step forward in aligning Turkmenistan's farming practices with international standards.

The delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the 75th session of the Executive Committee of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Geneva. At the opening of the session on October 14, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, in his speech, highly appreciated the efforts of the leadership of Turkmenistan to eradicate statelessness.

From 7 to 12 October, the VII Universiade of the Caspian countries took place in Astrakhan. The competition brought together students from universities that are members of the Association of Universities and Research Centres of the Caspian States. The team from Turkmenistan, consisting of students from Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly and Turkmen State Architectural and Construction University, participated in the Universiade.
