Kyrgyzstan has also partially assisted Uzbekistan in restoring electricity supply in the Fergana Valley.

Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan have increased mutual trade fivefold over the past four years, and in 2021 its volume increased by 65%, amounting to about $880 million. This was discussed at a meeting between Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov.

Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who arrived in Tashkent at the head of the government delegation of Turkmenistan, met on Monday with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ratified an agreement between the governments of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan on increasing the volume of trade, as well as on expanding mutually beneficial partnerships between business entities of the two countries.
