Ashgabat Solemnly Celebrated the 102nd Anniversary of the Republic of Turkey
29.10.2025 | 23:05 |On October 29, the Turkish Embassy in Ashgabat hosted a gala reception to mark the national holiday – the 102nd anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Turkey. The event served as a platform for reaffirming fraternal ties, strategic economic cooperation, and discussing Turkey's role on the global stage.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldymyradov spoke at the reception and an official message from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was read. The Deputy Prime Minister warmly congratulated the Turkish people, noting that this historic date symbolizes "the independence, economic, and spiritual aspirations of the fraternal Turkish people for development and creativity."

He emphasized the high level of interstate relations, based on centuries-old culture and shared roots, and placed particular emphasis on the economic agenda: "The development of trade, economic, and investment cooperation with the Republic of Turkey is a priority for Turkmenistan. ... Currently, approximately 200 Turkish companies are successfully operating in Turkmenistan. This demonstrates mutual trust and a high desire for cooperation."
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed hope for continued mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation, as well as for the further strengthening of cultural and humanitarian ties.

At the ceremony, Ambassador Ahmet Demirok read a message from the President of Turkey, which emphasized the role of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and paid tribute to all the heroes who defended independence. The message called Turkey "a powerful nation and a state with deep roots": "In line with our goals for the Turkish Century, which will leave its mark on this century, we are taking innovative steps in all areas: from the defense industry to the economy, from education to agriculture, tourism, energy, and foreign policy."

Turkey's humanitarian mission in the world, aimed at achieving a "more just world" and combating conflicts, was also noted: "At a time when wars, conflicts, and crises undermine universal values, Turkey strives with all its might for a "more just world," acting as a defender of rights and truth."

The organization of the gala reception emphasized the importance of diplomatic work in strengthening strategic ties, reflecting Ankara's desire to deepen cooperation with fraternal Turkmenistan in all areas.
