A Stadium Will Be Built on Top of a Skyscraper in Saudi Arabia
29.10.2025 | 18:30 |Saudi Arabia has announced the construction of NEOM Sky Stadium — the world’s first football arena which will be located on the roof of a skyscraper. The project is estimated at $1 billion, with completion planned for 2032.
NEOM Sky Stadium will be a unique engineering structure: it will be installed at a height of 350 meters, at the top a multifunctional skyscraper. Inside the building, hotels and commercial spaces will be available for fans, organizers, and journalists.

The arena will have a seating capacity of 46,000. Spectators will enjoy a bird’s-eye panoramic view of both the football match and the futuristic cityscape of Er-Riyadh.
The project will rely entirely on renewable energy sources to ensure carbon neutrality. For the comfort of athletes and spectators, a special ventilation and cooling system will be designed to counteract height differences and heat.

Construction of NEOM Sky Stadium will begin in 2027. The arena is expected to become one of the main venues for the 2036 FIFA World Cup and will later be used year-round for concerts and other sporting events.
