 Turkmen-Azerbaijani Parliamentary Dialogue Received a New Impetus in Avaza

Within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, a meeting was held in Avaza between Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova and Chairperson of the National Parliament of Azerbaijan Sagiba Gafarova.

The guest thanked President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the warm welcome and excellent organization of the events.

During the conversation, the parties emphasized that the parliamentary dialogue is an integral part of the Turkmen-Azerbaijani cooperation based on the principles of friendship and mutual respect. Sagiba Gafarova especially noted that the recent visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people to Azerbaijan gave a new impetus to the development of bilateral relations.

Both sides expressed the opinion that the parliamentary forum within the framework of the UN conference will have a positive impact on the activation of inter-parliamentary cooperation in the future. The meeting confirmed the mutual readiness of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan to further expand partnership in all areas.
