Oriented on making people closer

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed a congratulatory message to the residents of the city of Arkadag on the occasion of the second anniversary of its grand opening. In his address, the head of state called the first "smart" city in the history of the country, built in the picturesque foothills of the Kopetdag, a bright symbol of the successful development and economic power of the independent Motherland.

The message emphasizes that Arkadag is an innovative project created to ensure a happy life for the people. It combines the best examples of world and national architecture, advanced technologies and environmental standards. Over the past two years, the high level of the urban development program and the innovative capabilities of Arkadag have been confirmed by prestigious international certificates and awards.

As the President noted, all conditions for a comfortable life have been created in the new city, built thanks to the wisdom of the National Leader of the Turkmen people. Thousands of citizens have been provided with new jobs and comfortable housing, and the widespread introduction of digital technologies in city management contributes to the convenience of residents. Arkadag has created all the conditions for the self-realization of young people.

The city, which has a special legal status of state importance at the legislative level, demonstrates to the world Turkmenistan's successes in international cooperation, regularly hosting major forums, conferences and cultural events.

At the end of his message, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the construction of the second stage of the city, which glorifies the country with its beauty and modernity, will continue.

The official opening ceremony of the city of Arkadag took place on June 29, 2023.
