Kyrgyzstan initiates the establishment of a CIS School League
In the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the creation of a School League is being initiated, which was the result of a working meeting held online on February 18, 2025.
The initiative belongs to Kyrgyzstan, which proposed to use the experience of the League of the Kyrgyz Republic to organize a national stage for the selection of teams. Kyrgyzstan also presented the Concept of holding sports competitions among the countries of the Commonwealth.
The participants of the meeting, including representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, expressed interest in the systematic holding of sports competitions among schoolchildren. This includes a multi-level system for selecting the best teams and the possibility of their participation in international finals.
The creation of the School League is aimed at developing team sports, attracting students to physical education and sports, as well as improving the sports infrastructure of schools. It is expected that such competitions will contribute to the harmonious development of the individual and the selection of promising athletes for sports clubs and national teams.
