Turkmenistan’s Embassy in Kyrgyzstan hosts event for the International year of peace and trust
30.01.2025 | 16:55 |On January 30, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic held an event dedicated to the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust. The event brought together representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, students from Turkmenistan, and media representatives.
During the briefing, key achievements of Turkmenistan in domestic and foreign policy were highlighted, along with the country’s efforts within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust. Discussions covered priority areas for implementing related initiatives, Turkmenistan’s Concept and Priorities, and the country's proposed measures and initiatives. Participants were also informed about preparations for a major international forum scheduled for December 2025.
The forum will be dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. As part of the event, a presentation was held for President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s book, Mahtumkuli – Thinker of Peace. The book, aimed at a broad readership, explores the rich literary heritage of the great poet, his contribution to world culture, and the events held in honor of his anniversary, as well as Turkmenistan’s achievements.
