Oriented on making people closer

On Wednesday, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited the International Scientific and Clinical Oncology Center under construction in Ashgabat.

There, the National Leader got acquainted with samples of building materials used in the construction of the Center, examined its projects and drawings, and held a working meeting with Minister of Health and Medical Industry Myrat Mammedov and also Nurmukhammed Amannepesov, who is overseeing the construction of this large medical complex, and gave a number of instructions to the leaders.

The construction of the International Scientific and Clinical Oncology Center is one of Turkmenistan's most ambitious projects in the field of healthcare. This modern medical complex, equipped with advanced technologies and designed to become a regional leader in the field of oncology, opens up new prospects for the treatment of cancer.

To ensure the highest level of medical care, the Center will establish close cooperation with leading global clinics and research centers. Invited experts will conduct training for medical personnel, provide consultations on complex clinical cases and participate in joint research.

National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the partnership with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will allow the Center to introduce the most advanced nuclear medicine technologies and ensure the safety of working with radioactive substances.

The opening of the Center will make it possible to more effectively resolve many issues. Including: increasing the availability of high-quality oncological care for residents of Turkmenistan; reducing mortality from oncological diseases through early diagnosis and effective treatment; improving the quality of life of cancer patients through the use of the latest treatment and rehabilitation methods; facilitating the training of highly qualified specialists.

The Center will also become a scientific platform for fundamental and applied research in the field of oncology, which will provide an opportunity not only to develop new methods of diagnosing and treating cancer, but also to create domestic drugs.

Modern equipment and a high level of medical care will make the Center attractive to patients from other countries, which will contribute to the development of medical tourism in Turkmenistan.

Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed responsible persons to create an analytical department at the Center using the capabilities of digital technologies, as well as to introduce similar departments in all sectors.

The construction of the International Scientific and Clinical Oncology Center in Ashgabat is a large-scale project aimed at improving the health of the population. This complex will become a new stage in the development of the national healthcare system.
