Oriented on making people closer

On December 18, 2024, the next meeting of the International Association of Universities of Physical Education and Sport took place at the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.

By the decision of the International Association of Universities of Physical Culture and Sport, the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport has been officially accepted as a member of this prestigious international organization. The corresponding certificate was solemnly presented by the Head of the International Association of Universities of Physical Culture and Sport, K. Zakiryanov, to the Head of the Student Sports Club and General Secretary of the National Federation of Student Sports of Turkmenistan, S. Gurdov, who represented the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport.

The International Association of Universities of Physical Culture and Sport (IAUPCS), which unites over 60 renowned higher educational institutions in the field of physical culture and sports worldwide, was established to implement joint scientific research and foster international cooperation. The main objective of the Association is to contribute to the increasing global significance of physical education and sports, as well as to strengthen the foundations of a healthy lifestyle. The Association works to improve the quality of education in the fields of physical culture and sport, modernize curricula related to physical culture and sport in higher education institutions across various countries. It also places significant importance on the exchange of achievements in the field of sports among its members through experience sharing and supporting scientific research. The Association is engaged in the introduction of new methods and technologies in the field of physical culture and sport. Regular international conferences, seminars, and symposiums organized by the International Association of Universities of Physical Culture and Sport provide scientific and methodological support to higher education institutions in the development of sports.
