Turkmen athlete became the world champion in sambo in Astana
09.11.2024 | 22:50 |On November 9, the second day of the World Sambo Championship in Astana, Turkmenistan's representative Muminjan Arzikulov won a gold medal. He achieved this triumph in the discipline of combat sambo in the weight category up to 71 kg.
In the decisive fight Arzikulov confidently defeated Russia's Rolan Zinnatov 5-0, securing the title of world champion.The World Championship, which runs from November 8-10 in the capital of Kazakhstan, brought together about 470 athletes from 80 countries.
