A student from Turkmenistan - winner of a chess tournament in Russia
24.10.2024 | 15:02 |A student from Turkmenistan, Soltan Muradov, won a chess tournament held among citizens of BRICS member countries studying in Kazan. Soltan is a student of the Kazan National Research Technical University named after A. N. Tupolev.
The tournament was timed to coincide with the opening of the Chess Club of Grandmaster, Vice World Chess Champion Sergey Karjakin. The club became the 66th in Russia.
“The opening of the chess club at the “United Russia” public support headquarters will be an incentive to study, to become more intellectual. Perhaps a future world champion will start his journey here”, said Sergey Karjakin at the opening ceremony.
At the end of the tournament there was a simultaneous game session held by Sergey Karjakin with 6 participants. The world champion presented the tournament participants with trophies, medals and memorable diplomas.
