A delegation of Turkmen musicians arrived in Moscow to take part in the concert “He Truly Became the Mouth of Turkmenistan,” dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi. The concert and lecture on the theme “The Legacy of Magtymguly and Contemporary Musical Art” will be held on Wednesday, August 21, in the Rachmaninov Hall of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. The event, which can rightfully be called historical in its significance and occasion, was prepared and organized by composer Mamed Guseynov with the support and assistance of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky and the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation.

Famous Russian and Turkmen musicians will take part in the concert. Teachers of music history, vocal art, and playing musical instruments from the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kulieva, the Mary Special Music School named after Yolaman Hummayev, the Turkmen State Special Music School named after Danatar Ovezov at the TNC, as well as children's art schools No. 3 and No. 4 of the city of Ashgabat arrived in Moscow. Among them are Gozel Annakhanova, Aylar Saparmuradova, Aybolek Mukhiyeva, Leyla Babayeva, Bekdurdy Cherkezov, Seyran Kasimi, Yolaman Nasyrov and Annaoraz Dovletov. Having settled into a cozy hotel in the heart of the Russian capital, just a five-minute walk from the Kremlin, the musicians managed to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of rehearsals and the charm of Moscow streets.

Historical monuments and picturesque city landscapes became sources of inspiration for them. Walking along Red Square and admiring the magnificence of St. Basil's Cathedral, they noticeably touch upon a powerful layer of traditions that gave birth to outstanding masters of art. This unforgettable time contributes not only to the expansion of creative horizons, but also to the strengthening of friendly relations between peoples.

Today, on August 20, an excursion to the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts - the Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery, where the Moscow International Arts Festival "Sounds of Dutar" named after Nury Khalmamedov is held, was organized for guests from Turkmenistan. The Gallery has a permanent exhibition of works by the greatest painter, sculptor, monumentalist, president of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli. On the same day, the Turkmen delegation visited the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The largest cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church can accommodate up to 10,000 people. The total height of the building is 103 meters. The area of the painting of the Cathedral is more than 22,000 square meters, of which more than 9,000 square meters are gilded with gold leaf.

The day ended at the Helikon Opera Theater. The excursion for the delegation of musicians was not only an introduction to history, but also another opportunity to touch the magic of opera art. There was also a meeting with chief conductor of the Helikon Opera Theater, Valery Kiryanov, who wished the musicians good luck at the concert in Moscow.

The building of the Helikon Opera itself is impressive - the Shakhovsky-Glebov-Streshnev estate on Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street, famous for its theatrical past, has witnessed many legendary meetings and performances. The walls of the white-columned hall of Princess Shakhovskaya heard the playing of Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky, the singing of the theater's staff member Shalyapin, shook from the voice of Stanislavsky during rehearsals, and it was here that Debussy performed. The ancient wooden dome responsible for the acoustics has been completely recreated in the hall. Helikon is not just a theater, but a symbol of cultural dialogue that has united artists and spectators of different generations.

Cultural exchanges between Russia and Turkmenistan, both in the past and now, have become an important part of this process. Joint projects and performances serve as a bridge connecting peoples through music and theater. Inspired and enriched by the flourishing of the arts, spectators and performers continue to write a new chapter in the history that we experience together.
