The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held telephone conversations with colleagues from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan
30.07.2024 | 15:50 |On Monday, July 29, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held telephone conversations with colleagues from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. According to the press service of the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministers discussed the agenda of bilateral relations, issues related to mutual visits at the highest state level and exchanges of high-level delegations, and interaction on international platforms.
In a conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev, ways of implementing the agreements reached following the results of the 6th meeting of the intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Turkmen commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, which took place in Cholpon-Ata on July 24-25, were also discussed.
The issues of preparation for the 6th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia were discussed with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry noted.
It was previously reported that the next consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia would be organized in Astana on August 9. The previous, 5th meeting was held in Dushanbe in September 2023.
On Saturday, Rashid Meredov also discussed with his Tajik counterpart Sirojiddin Mukhriddin the organization of contacts at the highest level both in a bilateral format and within the framework of international forums and meetings.
