Belarus and China have signed an agreement on the establishment of an International Lunar Research Station
21.11.2023 | 21:31 |Delegates from the Tiandu Deep Space Research Laboratory and the Shanghai Research Institute of Space Movement paid a working visit to the Belarusian-Chinese industrial park "Great Stone".
Within the framework of the bilateral meeting, the parties concluded an agreement on the implementation of the project for the creation of an international station for the exploration of the lunar surface (MLIS). Also during the meeting, issues of deepening further cooperation in the implementation of projects in the aerospace industry were touched upon.
MLIS is a planned habitable station orbiting the Moon or its surface. The aim of the project is to create a universal platform for multidisciplinary studies of the lunar surface. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026.
