The Olympic Council of Asia will select the most valuable player of the Asian Games in Hangzhou
04.10.2023 | 08:59 |The Olympic Council of Asia will select the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou.
For this purpose, a special commission of six people was created - one representative from each of the five zones of the Council. The commission is headed by OCA Honorary Life Vice President Wei Jizhong, who is also the chairman of the sports structure working group during the competition.
Western Asia is represented by Prince Fahad Jalawi Al Saud, Central Asia is represented by Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan Oybek Kasimov, East Asia is represented by Vice President of the Chinese Olympic Committee Li Lingwei. Southeast Asia is represented by NOC Philippines President Abraham Tolentino and South Asia by Syed Shahid Reza, Secretary General of the Bangladesh Olympic Association.
The name of the most valuable player will be announced on October 8, the day of the closing ceremony of the Games.
The Most Valuable Player of the XVIII Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta was Japanese swimmer Rikako Iki. She won six gold and two silver medals.
