A new series of three-day seminars for specialists working in the water sector of the country has started in Turkmenistan. Also, the training program will study the skills of employees to correctly and timely apply adaptation measures for water supply to various sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan.

The "listeners" of the seminar will be specialists of the city and district departments of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Committee of Water Management, the City Hall of Ashgabat, the S. The course participants will consider the most relevant topics, including the sustainable use of Turkmenistan's water resources in drinking and municipal water supply, changes in meteorological climate indicators in Turkmenistan and their impact on water consumption, the impact of climate change on the irrigation regime of crops, as well as innovative measuring instruments as a tool for adaptation to the effects of climate change.

Within the framework of the forum, representatives of the Production Association "Ashgabatagyzsuv" of the Municipal Utilities Department of the capital municipality made a presentation of their work on the use of modern technologies for wastewater treatment. They shared practical experience applied in the reuse of treated wastewater and drainage water for technological needs.

The seminar participants also visited a new drinking water plant in Ashgabat and got acquainted with the production of a water treatment plant created to provide high-quality drinking water to the population of the city. The capital plant is the fourth in a row in the system of drinking water enterprises and city wells, designed to produce 250,000 cubic meters of water per day. It is part of a single looped water supply system of the capital.

These institutes provide the seminar participants with platforms to strengthen ties between scientists working in the field of water management of Turkmenistan with experts from other countries of the Central Asian region and open up a space for the exchange of experience and cooperation of specialists.
